The Division of Landscape Architecture is seeking an experienced individual to lead the development of its experiential learning curriculum and strengthen related knowledge exchange and research-led teaching. The Division is interested in individuals who can advance research critiquing and repositioning landscape architecture in the design and production of the contemporary city.  Candidates should demonstrate an active engagement with landscape disciplinary theories and critical practices in the context of the urbanizing sub/tropical environments of Southeast Asia.  They should also have a good track record of securing external funding.

The successful candidate will be required to develop and deliver multi-year, multi-disciplinary academic initiatives seated within the Faculty, including obtaining competitive external funding through research grants and sponsorship; to cultivate and disseminate landscape architectural knowledge and its discourses across tropical geographies; and to generate research publications and other outputs targeting the environmental design fields.

The appointee will be appointed at the rank of Senior Professional Practitioner.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
