Jun 2012 Type: Conference Details: PT_Congress 2012 - Public Space and Urban Governance Challenges in the coproduction of public space in national and international contexts As the function and requirements of public spaces in cities alter, the topics of debate change. Different, and often opposing, views give rise to the discussion of new problems which we would like to debate with you. Therefore, we would like to invite you to: PT-Conference 2012: "Public Space and Urban Governance - Challenges in the coproduction of public space in nation and international contexts." on Thursday, 21st June 2012 from10.30-19.00 in the Technologiezentrum, Aachen. This year’s international event focuses on the opportunities and challenges of private-municipal coproduction of urban spaces. We would like to discuss the following with you: What duties and scope for action do local authorities have? What interests do private players have in public spaces?
