Three becomes one. The OST – Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Science – is the joint continuation of the FHS St.Gallen, HSR Rapperswil und NTB Buchs. The bachelor’s degree programme in Landscape Architecture is the only one in German-speaking Switzerland and provides its students with a comprehensive education in all disciplines of landscape architecture. As of 1 September 2021 we are looking for you as
Professor of Landscape Design (60-100%)
As a professor of Landscape Design you will be in a responsible position in teaching, research & development or service and will contribute to the development of your subject area.
Your tasks:
– You will teach the subject of landscape design at Bachelor and Master level
– You will supervise project-, Bachelor’s- and Master’s theses
– You are committed to application-oriented research and development at the Institute for Landscape and Open Space
– You will acquire and work on third-party funded research and development projects
Your qualification:
– You have a university degree in landscape architecture, a doctorate or equivalent qualification is an advantage
– You are a site designer with a special interest in larger landscape design projects
– You have work experience in infrastructure and landfill projects
– You demonstrate profound knowledge in one or more of the following subject areas: revitalisation of small rivers and lakes, bioengineering for land reclamation, site engineering, dealing with natural hazards in the context of climate change
– You show willingness to engage in the development of the department and the institute
