Victoria University of Wellington, School of Architecture is recruiting a Lecturer in Landscape Architecture. The landscape architecture programme has a strong focus on design education and development of a vigorous design culture. The School is significantly focussed on design research. The successful candidate will be an inspiring landscape architecture design educator / researcher who may also have expertise in landscape architecture technology, history or landscape ecology. This person will be passionate about and experienced with design education.
Candidates should demonstrate expertise in the fields of teaching and research and/or practice; exhibit research competence and scholarly production; have a record of, or show promise of, innovation in teaching; and show strong promise of making significant contributions to the advancement of contemporary landscape architecture. Professional registration as a Landscape Architect is an advantage.
The School of Architecture
The School of Architecture offers Bachelors, Masters and PhD degrees in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Interior Architecture and Building Science with over 1100 full time students and 40 academic staff. We share a purpose built precinct with the School of Design and provide extensive studio spaces, a world class workshop and computer facilities. We place an emphasis on design quality and design research grounded in a long tradition of technical excellence.
