ECLAS Conference 2024 Regenerative Landscapes

ECLAS 2024 Regenerative Landscapes – Designing the Transition has been truly inspiring. With Nathan Barlow opening our minds towards degrowth and social ecological tranformation. Prof. Dr. Sandra Groll providing orientation on the position of systems design in design theory. Dr Rachel Lilley with an empowering input on systemic leadership. And Gilles Doignon from the European Commission opening the debate towards nature positive societies and the pathways laid out by EU policies, in particular the recent EU nature restoration law.

We listened to over 100 presentations in eight thematic tracks and engaged with 60 doctoral students from all across Europe and beyond. Nikolett Puskas gave important inspirations for our co-creation workshops. A big thank you to the ECLAS community for your commitment, partnership and openness!

The conference was conceived and implemented in partnership with the TELOS ERASMUS Project. This 5-universities partnership led by Nürtingen-Geislingen University (HfWU) develops a Landscape Economy Curriculum.

Many thanks to our host and project partner, the Faculté d’Architecture La Cambre Horta de l’ULB, in particular to Didier Vancutsem, and also to all colleagues and students who helped implementing the event. We are also thankful to CIVA Brussels, in particular to CIVA curator Ursula Wieser Benedetti, for the wonderful side events we could host together during the conference.
