Competition dates: September 1, 2025 – January 31, 2026
Guimarães is internationally recognized for its cultural heritage, and now increasingly committed to shaping a sustainable future through innovative landscape strategies. The forum and the competition will explore the city’s urban and peri-urban green infrastructure, with a particular focus on the Costa-Couros river corridor and the social-ecological challenges and transformative potential of Bairro C, a central area facing both degradation and opportunity.
Forum hosts are the Landscape Laboratory of Guimarães and UTAD, University de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro. Guimarães is the elected European Green Capital 2026.
