The ENSP is a public institution for training, research and creation of reference in the field of landscape design and planning. It is under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Higher Education and Research.

The school provides master degree training for landscape designers (landscape architects DPLG, and since the beginning of the 2015 landscape architects who will hold the State Diploma of landscape architect – DEP) and intervenes in different initial training courses (master level And doctoral) and continuing (certificate of higher studies in landscape, designers of gardens in the landscape, in particular).

The school has a research activity, within the LAREP (Laboratory of Landscape Research) : 14 researchers and teaching researchers and 9 PhD students.

The school includes 32 permanent  teachers, teacher-researchers, teacher practionners, research engineers. The contribution of professionals and specialists is part of one of the strengths of the ENSP. Nearly 300 professionals participate in the pedagogy, reflecting the richness of the training. 

A strong specificity of the ENSP is the teaching and learning of the « projet de paysage » through studios and workshops.

The DEP curriculum being deployed is built on a model in three years.(Bachelor 3, Master 1, Master 2).  At the end, the school proposes to set up complementary courses, in the form of post-master, open especially to graduate students.

General presentation of the research laboratory

The ENSP research laboratory (LAREP) is an own unit labeled by the Directorate-General for Education and Research of the Ministry of Agriculture. It offers an original configuration by bringing together various actors in the field of landscape, who share common research interests between teachers and researchers, landscape architecs, engineers, doctoral students and advanced students. Teaching assignments

·         Ensure the teaching of the landscape project (in french), especially in the context of the final project.

·         Participate in the definition of pedagogical guidelines throughout the DEP cycle.

Research assignments

·         Participate in the development of LAREP’s research activities, in particular within axis 1 (landscape architecture project methodology).

·         Contribute to develop a specific doctoral path in the field of the landscape design, which is experimenting new ways of producing references, knowledge and attitudes applicable to the project.

 

 

Profile and experience

Professional of the landscape project holding a doctoral thesis and an HDR, or meeting the conditions of article 37 paragraph 2 of decree n ° 92-171 of 21 February 1992 concerning the special statutes of the bodies of teachers-researchers of public higher education institutions reporting to the Minister for Agriculture.

Confirmed teaching experience in the field of the landscape architecture project : conducting a workshop, supervising memories or diplomas. Participation in research projects or creative projects.

Remuneration 

Professor, the remuneration is based on the national index grid of professors of higher education and research in France.
